In her free time, Lauer enjoys teaching fitness classes, cooking, playing golf and biking throughout the beautiful north shore neighborhoods with her family.  A former nationally ranked figure skater (where she originally learned the meaning of hard work in, equals positive results out) she also enjoys spending time on the ice with her two daughters, Keaten and Brogan, and former professional hockey player husband, Stephen (a Winnetka native).
